A gravatar is a "Globally Recognized -Avatar".

Many blogs and thousands of websites already use Grvatar as a way to display avatars next to comments, ratings, etc.

Yakkel also uses Gravatar to display your default profile picture.

Gravatar

To setup your own Gravatar, simply go to http://www.gravatar.com

If you don't already have an account, go ahead and create one!
It's quick, easy, and all you have to do is confirm your email address.

Once you confirm your email address, you'll be able to upload and crop an image from your computer to use as your Gravatar.

You have the ability to add as many email accounts as you want to your Gravatar account, then it'll show up for any website that uses that email address to load your Gravatar!

That's it!

Note: Sometimes it can take several hours for your Gravatar to show up, especially if you've visited the site where your picture would be loaded and your browser has cached it. Clearing your cache should fix this.
