Create your favicon that you want to use.

It should be 16x16pixels.

Save the file as favicon.ico

Upload the favicon.ico to the directory with your index file.

Use the code:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.YOURSITE.com/favicon.ico" />

in your index file, where YOURSITE is the domain to your website.

That last step for some reason got cut short, but the last step is

Open your ftp and login. Find your favicon file, and drag it over into your ftp files, and your finished.

Or, just put this code in your header...
&ltlink rel=&quotshortcut icon&quot href=&quotIMAGE LINK HERE&quot&gt

Yeah but if you use that code it will only be on certain pages, if you do it my way it will be on every single page and you won&#39t need that code!

You just put the code in the header of every page, or if you got wordpress then its easier because you just need to put it on the header.php file.
.ico files are not the best files that&#39s why.
